  • Requirements?.

The driving license must be valid in Spain and must be at least 2 years old. Also, the minimum age to rent is 25 years old.

You must make your reservation in advance and have a credit card in your name that you must present when picking up the vehicle at the office.

The reservation must be made in the name of the main driver who must be in possession of the following documents to be able to make the rental and collect the vehicle at our offices:

-ID card or passport.

-Valid driving license in Spain or international driving license.

-Valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) in the name of the driver.

 

  • Where do I collect the car?.

At the Fuerteventura airport we deliver the car to the P1 car park, next to the car park cashiers, indicated with the CASH sign.

The hotel delivery is made at the reception, we will be waiting for you there at the indicated time.

 

  • What includes?.

The rate offered at Ecocar Fuerteventura includes insurance without excess, unlimited mileage and taxes. We also offer free additional driver, child seats and elevators.

In cases of accident with our coverage for material damage without excess, damages to third parties and those of the rental vehicle as well as all occupants are covered, remember to always drive on asphalt roads, do not leave anything inside the vehicle and report any incident immediately.

Ecocar Fuerteventura reserves the right to modify its policy of services included in its rates at any time. These modifications will only affect future reservations and will never be applied to previously accepted reservations.

The price offered through www.ecocarfuerteventura.com does not include vehicle fuel. You must return the car with a full tank, just as it was delivered to you.

 

  • What does not include?.

Damages caused by the driver's negligence or breach of the contract conditions, such as the situations detailed below, would not be covered by any insurance and under no circumstances:

  • Theft of the vehicle with the keys in it. Anti-theft coverage does NOT cover personal effects.
  • Fines, loss of keys and any other expense derived from the negligent use of the vehicle.
  • Use of wrong fuel depending on the characteristics of the vehicle.
  • Any damage produced in an accident if the client does not fill in and deliver the corresponding accident report with the description of the events.
  • Loss of child seats.
  • Pushing or towing any other vehicle.
  • Driving in places that are not suitable for public transport such as beaches, car circuits, forest tracks, local roads, etc.
  • Driving on unpaved or paved roads, but with serious deficiencies, which could lead to damage to the underside of the vehicle. In addition to circulating through restricted areas. The use of vehicles on unpaved roads will be specifically penalized.
  • Negligent action when the alarms or warning signs of the leased vehicle are turned on.
  • Transport of goods or animals and especially dangerous, flammable and / or harmful substances for the vehicle and its occupants.
  • The sublease of the vehicle or lend the vehicle to third parties not authorized in the contract.
  • The use of the vehicle for any activity that could be considered contrary to the law.
  • Transportation of a number of people and / or luggage greater than that authorized by the vehicle.

  • Failure to comply with the traffic and circulation regulations established by current Spanish regulations at the time of vehicle rental.
  • Breach of any of the conditions established in the rental contract Carry out any action in bad faith or knowing that it may cause damage or harm to the rented vehicle or to our company.

 

  • Way to pay?.

It is essential to present a valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) in the name of the driver to make the payment and to collect the vehicle.

 

  • Time before reservation?

If you need to make a reservation less than 12 hours in advance, you will receive an instant confirmation and you should also receive an extra confirmation from our staff as soon as your reservation is accepted, they will contact you by mail or telephone.

 

  • Car model?.

When you reserve a car, we will try to deliver the model that you have selected, however, the model is not guaranteed in any way, therefore, if we do not have the exact model selected, we will deliver a similar model, from the same group. or from a higher group for the same price.

 

  • Can I change the island ?.

Cars cannot be moved outside of Fuerteventura. It is also not allowed to be transported by boat or in any type of means of transport, vehicle or trailer without authorization.

 

  • Can I extend my contract?

To extend your contract, we recommend calling the office where you have made your rental, they will inform you about the availability and prices to be able to carry out this extension.

Please bear in mind that, in all cases, the extension of a contract is understood as a new reservation and therefore, the price offered will be the price in force on our website at the time of making this extension for the days and group reserved. If the information received is to your liking and you decide to proceed with the extension, you must go to any of our offices in order to manage this extension personally and make the payment for the new reservation.

Likewise, we inform you that your contract expires on the day and time established in it, therefore, if an extension is not made in a timely manner, it will be understood for all purposes that the contract has ended, and you must return the car according to the date and time of return that appears in your first contract.

 

  • Can I cancel or modify a reservation?

If you want to cancel or modify a reservation, you can call us by phone at +34 928163006, or send us a message to info@ecocar.es identifying the reservation number, your name and surname, and the dates for which you made the reservation. All these data are required to verify that it is you and not someone else who makes the cancellation.

There are no charges for cancellation of reservations, but we appreciate that you cancel the one that you are not going to use, in order to serve you better by having a better control of the availability of our fleet.

 

  • Hotel delivery and return?

In any case, the hotel delivery service is subject to availability in the Caleta de Fuste area. We do not deliver to any hotel that is not specified in the list of options. If you wish to access this service, you must select the hotel in your reservation process.
