Roads and vehicle use
- Fuerteventura has a network of paved roads connecting most of the villages.
- Spots of interest such as Cofete, the west coast or the Lajares volcanoes are off the paved network.
- Driving off tarmac with a saloon car is prohibited, penalised and not insured: choose a 4x4 for those routes.
- Plan your visits and check access to choose the right vehicle.
